Simon's Rock has been a leader in the early college movement for over 40 years and continues to distinguish itself as the only residential college in the United States specifically designed to provide bright, motivated students with the opportunity to begin college immediately after the tenth or eleventh grade.

The Acceleration to Excellence Program undergraduate scholarships are merit awards that cover up to the full cost of tuition for students who apply to Simon’s Rock during the tenth or eleventh grade and who have outstanding academic and extracurricular achievement.  The AEP deadline is February 1 each year.

The Francis and Peggy Cahn Fund for Argentina will support Argentinean students studying at the Harvard Graduate School of Arts and Sciences in the Engineering, Applied, Physical and Life Sciences; the Harvard School of Public Health, the John F. Kennedy School of Government, or the Harvard Graduate School of Education. Candidates are evaluated on the basis of merit and financial need. It is the donor's wish that recipients have plans to return to Argentina and utilize their education to enable them to contribute to Argentina's social, economic, and scientific progress, and priority consideration will be given to those candidates.

The fellowships are awarded for one academic year. Recipients may apply for renewal for a second year. Candidates must apply to and be accepted by their school of choice at the University independent of this Fellowship application. Admission to the University does not guarantee a Fellowship award.

KODAK SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM 2010

Deadline: June 14, 2010

These highly competitive awards are given to students demonstrating superior professional filmmaking production skills and creativity. Colleges and universities in the U.S., Canada, and participating countries in Asia Pacific, Europe and Latin America, that offer a degree or diploma program in film, film production, or cinematography may nominate up to two students each year for consideration.

A Blue Ribbon Jury will evaluate all submitted work and make all final selections. The jury will consist of one individual from Kodak and one from the University Film & Video Association (UFVA), plus a representative from the filmmaking industry. Nominees will be evaluated on the basis of academic achievement, creative and technical ability, communications ability, and range of filmmaking experience. Visual Imagery will count 50%, creative and other technical skills 25%, and the other criteria 25%.

WOODROW WILSON INTERNATIONAL CENTER FELLOWSHIPS

The Center awards approximately 20-25 residential fellowships annually to individuals with outstanding project proposals in a broad range of the social sciences and humanities on national and/or international issues. KENYON-MELLON POST-DOCTORAL FELLOWSHIP IN INTERNATIONAL STUDIES

Kenyon College is seeking applications for the Mellon Post-Doctoral Fellowship at Kenyon College. Intended to complement the College's Yarbrough Dissertation Fellowship program, the post-doctoral program creates a one-year teaching fellowship in the humanities or humanistic social sciences for holders of PhD's who come from under-represented and disadvantaged backgrounds.

The program seeks to attract recent recipients of doctoral degrees whose research focus is in international fields of study, including comparative or cross-cultural scholarship. The fellowship program places its greater emphasis on the Fellow's teaching while encouraging mentorship of junior faculty, like the dissertation fellows, as well as allowing time for research activities.
